Astro Weather Jan 10 - Jan 20

There is some interesting astrology taking place right now leading up to the Aquarius new moon on Jan 20 which changes everything. I'm going to list the main aspects in place for the next 10 days until that new moon arrives because it looks like a really significant energy change is shaping up albeit on subtle levels. One of these changes is Mars moving into the last sign of the zodiac - Pisces for the next five weeks. It's been a couple years since this has happened and yet Mars also faces its first quarter square with Saturn right before the new moon. Let me first list all these main aspects then we'll go from there.

Mercury and Venus
Mercury has finally caught up to Venus in Aquarius and is considered conjunct. However Mercury won't make it past this conjunction as it's just now starting to lose momentum; slowing down from the earth's perspective which means tonight (Jan 10) will be the closest that these two planets will be together for awhile. If you want to see the conjunction look outside to the west after dusk until you find bright Venus; once it gets a little darker Mercury should appear right below that. Symbolically this means that the universal mental focus is quietly observing the social flow, group activity, friendships, and what might be next for us within the group dynamics. The mentality, values and desires that most people have right now are on future visions that Mars in Aquarius has been making us feel passionate about for the last several weeks - letting go of the past and stepping into the future, even if that future hasn't actually arrived yet. You see, Mars, Venus and Mercury are all ahead of the sun and because the sun is the main creator of our reality then this means the focus, passion, desires, values and thoughts are all in the future right now while the sun is still back in Cap making plans for that future. Mercury with Venus in Aquarius gives the communication theme a nice friendly diplomatic emotionally detached intellectual vibe. But that won't last too long.

As Mercury slows down it will slowly start to separate from Venus while Mars will ingress Pisces leaving Venus all alone in mid to late Aquarius so our current values and desires will remain the same as they have been for a couple weeks but things start to get real tricky with actually creating those desires as Mercury starts to back out and Mars gets confused as it transits fog. This new energy will start to kick in with the next couple days as Mars makes that ingress to Pisces Jan 12.

Now apply this to your life and current circumstances in regards to that long term vision you have for yourself within the group. Some adjustments will need to be made as challenges and obstacles will start to appear as we close out this current moon cycle the next 10 days. It's important not to doubt yourself so far that all action remains illusive, just slight adjustments is all as new perspectives come in.

Moon 3rd quarter 

The moon enters Libra Sunday changing the universal mood and circumstances to social with relationship obligations, an emotional need to balance things out with other people however the moon triggers the long lasting aspect of Pluto square Uranus on Monday then shortly after squares the sun signaling the 3rd quarter moon often called an emotional crisis in consciousness phase.  Before that though the moon has easy positive connections to Mercury and Venus meaning that good developments could be happening on Monday but still feel intense and are life changing in some way with others. Later as the moon makes that 3rd quarter square with sun doubts about your choices that you made the last few weeks start to seep in; challenges appear. Did you do the "right" thing, make the "right" choices? It's time to let go of what has already been done. Don't dwell in the past or stoke fears of the future, mind f'ing yourself on what is right or wrong. What's done is done. Circumstances turn real intense and powerful, strong social situations develop whether you are just observing or actually engaged in tough power struggles or deep issues arising around you. This is all the revolution and war energy being intensified Sunday - Tues so choose your battles wisely and if no battles to fight trust that these social developments are for the best for all involved. Sometimes it can help to let go of the need for control of your life. You did what you thought was best these past few weeks now time to move on,  Forces beyond your human self are at work right now and if you let go having some trust that current situations can actually lead you to a better place then you could have ever envisioned, you'll feel a lot better.

This is where things get tricky from here on out. Pluto has a rare square to the karmic Nodes this entire ten days that the moon activates this next week meaning fated events are bound to pull us in a direction that can feel intense, fearful, etc but can also be smooth if we show little resistance. It all depends on each person's situation though; how bad you want to control every aspect of your life. Are you thinking about everyone, or just self? The moon will trigger these types of emotional feelings and the trick is to release and prepare for the upcoming new moon in Aquarius where you can start manifesting intentions for that long term vision that you already desire, after new information/developments happen these next two weeks around you and authority figures/commitments.

Mars enters Pisces 2:20 am PST on Jan 12

Transit Mars is symbolic of universal passion; it's how we make things happen in our life; the warrior energy; where the action and strong forceful energy is in our life right now. In Astrology there is cycles within cycles and on one level Mars is ending a cycle as Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac. Ending a two year cycle for action in a sense, starting a new cycle in five weeks. Pisces is Water energy and Mars is Fire so right now we all have a strong drive pushing us to create our visions for the future. We might have been stuck in our mind thinking about all that for the last few weeks with some detachment but now that energy runs into a very unsettling wet fog bank. Fire turns into steam. It's hard to fight an enemy that you can't see. What are you pushing against, yourself? Mars in Pisces will really slow us down on the physical action front and bring up psychological battles to be fought on the spiritual realms within our heart and mind before we can advance into that new two year cycle of creation. All that fire warrior energy needs an outlet or sensitivity and a real dark cloud can hang over us. Mars in Pisces is the spiritual warrior; the mind doc, mystic, compassionate worker for humanity, artist, singer etc. Pisces is so creative and imaginative that Mars here adds passion to that imagination but often all this activity is on the invisible realms of spirit and mind or from behind the scenes. Mars wants to create the dream or a sense of something beyond and so if you do not have some practical outlet for this energy escapism is very possible through more drinking and other drugs of choice if not focusing this energy into building your future dreams. The problem is, confusion and doubts about all that come in and so we start to wonder if we want to actually create what might be unfolding before us. Old patterns of self sabotage can crop up now. What holds you back? fear? Maybe you're not sure, this is after all, foggy territory. Mars in Pisces needs some help when it comes to manifesting and taking action. This energy is calling for co-creation with the universe.  Powerful events are unfolding at the same time all around which means the universe does have a very strong influence over your free-will actions right now. You will feel lots of tension and stress emotionally, mentally and physically unless you flow with the universe right now and let current situations help you make future decisions by tapping into the spiritual all knowing.

The danger with you trying to go it alone and fight for what you want to create right now even if it's not in alignment with your life and those around you is after you spend much time and effort creating all you want battling everything in the process you will experience big disillusionment later when it turns out not to be right for you after all. In truth maybe some of you need to learn that tough lesson for yourself regardless of the advanced warning here.  Now if you go within, meditate, connect to your divine source who or whatever that is and get answers from beyond the mind tapping into intuition, inner knowing and the world of feelings you will be lead down the best path for you and all involved at this time on your journey. It takes a certain level of faith and trust in something beyond yourself otherwise it will be easy to get lost, drugged up, or pursuing fantasies that only lead to disillusionment. After connecting with spirit if you still don't know what to do or feel overwhelmed go and volunteer somewhere for awhile, help humanity in some way or get creative and use your imagination, building or creating something that you feel passion for.

On Jan 14 Mars has first quarter square with Saturn.

Think back to Aug 25 2014. That was the beginning to this Mars Saturn cycle which has now entered a critical phase needing to find a better balance between how we express or desires to authority which could be long held patterns that have negative consequences in our life on some levels. This is about needing to make decisions on pushing forward (not too hard) or accepting limitations when faced with challenges that are sure to show up soon when it comes to your visions of the future. You don't want to totally retreat just let go of so much fight and let the universe show you the right path by the closing or opening of doors and other synchronicities that you might experience. The aspect can create delays in getting what you want; a slow down, self doubts, doubts from others, authority issues, roadblocks, red-tape, religious/spiritual confrontations, reality check for unrealistic fantasies, etc. This is a time to reflect on your commitments and responsibilities that were made around late Aug 2014 before advancing on with the new dreams and visions for your future.  It's best to use this ten days to close out everything from the past cycles that are keeping you back from moving forward on your dreams. .

Mars conjunct Neptune Jan 18/19

Mars really gets in deep as it transits Neptune the day before the new moon. Mars already faced the reality of Saturn's authority and now is deep in dream land with very strong imaginative energy, being led by divine will. It can go either way tho depending on our own fight and situation - used for a positive or negative. Don't get lost in escape or fantasy;  get in touch with spiritual compassion and empathy, using creativity and imagination to help you feel more passion about the vision you want to create on this next new moon.

Mercury stations 

Whatever transpires over this next ten days leads us to a mental perception change. Mercury stops moving forward on the new moon as its symbolic of us deeply focused on something particular and then needing to gain more perspective on it through investigation, research and reevaluation. That's what this next new moon will be about. Problems that you didn't foresee may appear and you'll have to go back to the drawling board in regards to the vision you have held about the future and innovate.  There was all this momentum moving us forward and now it seems we are about to get bogged down with some delays, confusion or some other unforeseen events that can have us questioning the next move. Usually i would say wait for the new moon before starting something new but in this case it might not hurt to start something that you want asap if you have checked all angles and feel sure, before others can back out but just know that some adjustments will need to be made later. This next new moon will be very intellectual with an alternative perception so until then we need to include the spiritual, emotional and intuitive guidance  available. we need patience. everything is unfolding it perfect timing for the greater good.

A lot of mishaps and other "Mercury retrograde" things can happen on Jan 20-23, not the entire retro phase only when Mercury stops and changes direction is the mishaps most likely to occur, especially in the sign of Aquarius so you just need to pay attention on what you are doing those days, giving yourself lots of time and expecting weird energy with some electronic mishaps and breakdowns, miscommunications and deep thoughts about the future.

Love, resources and relationships will all be expanding fairly fast and can cause some fears and reevaluations. You might just understand what holds you back after all these new developments that are on the way. The main thing to remember in all this is to co-create with the universe; let go of control and rethink your visions and dreams, accepting and trusting in relationship expansion that involves the entire group, not just self.
