Currently, Mars is stopped, not moving up in the sky from the earth's perspective (stationing). This reflects, that in general, all things that Mars rules are extra powerful right now - desire, drive, aggression and war, among other things. Mars rules Aries and Scorpio which is also highly stimulated areas of your chart right now, along with your house of Gemini, since this is where Mars is stationing direct.
This Mars station reflects (in general) intense intellectual stimulation, nervousness, anxiety, restlessness, powerful information, communications and mental processing. It's easier for there to be conflicts in schools, in the streets, on the roads, traveling, snd perhaps issues with technology and electronics in some cases. Health issues can also be inflamed under this vibe. One problem with this Mars station is it shows a built up energy but with no where to go (temporally), which can cause frustration and irritation as well. You see Mars is in a weird angle with Capricorn which is where we have goals, ambitions, responsibilities and other serious matters of life. Mars does not have a clear path on how to achieve these ambitions, just yet.
The other issue is that Mercury rules Gemini where Mars is and Mercury is very slow right now, retrograde, backing its way into a station direct by next week, in the sign of goals, ambitions and plans, and what we want to achieve this year. Mercury also rules Virgo - health. Mars can't do its thing until Mercury is ready to move forward. We'll have to expect these Mars issues until then, the rest of the month.
Mercury has been very busy in this retograde, with important ideas, plans and conversations this past couple weeks as it's been aligned with the past, the future and destiny. As i write this, Mercury is back in alignment with the nodes of fate from now until January 23. Your thoughts and communications have been helping you process important information. It's just not done yet, but getting so close. Important communications are happening the next couple weeks which will more clearly reflect the direction forward.
Venus is not in an easy spot in the sky. Venus is in-between the two heavy weights Saturn and Pluto. This reflects serious and intense relationship energy, which only gets stronger until the sun passes Pluto and Venus passes Saturn, which won't be until the last week of January. Even by then, Mars will still be in the same spot it's at right now. Venus in Aquarius needs freedom and independence. It has a hard time conforming to romantic and social norms. It's easier for romance to be in the head then shown in reality, but love and money matters are still serious and involve the future as Venus conjuncts Saturn by Jan 22.
Love and money energy will change into something different by the end of the month, perhaps into something better for most. Until then - serious and intense, somewhat detached, stubborn and fixed in its relationship opinions.
Saturday Jan 14 is the last quarter moon between Libra and Capricorn -
A challenge in love and relationships vs responsibilities, goals and ambitions. We can say it starts Friday though. The mood and circumstances are with love and relationships, but the focus is on responsibilities, goals, and ambitions. There could be some emotional or mood challenges along these lines. If possible - combine both areas! Relationship responsibilities. However, this last quarter moon sets off an intense phase until the next new moon in Aquarius as the moon squares Pluto followed by the sun conjunct Pluto next week. Emotional power plays, intensity and transformation to life could easily happen for a lot of people the rest of this month. As we go through this last quarter moon in Libra, it's ruled by Venus which is square Uranus on Saturday as well! Be careful of impulsions in love or money. Don't do anything you will regret Later. No need to be rebellious or perverse. Use clear honest open communication to resolve any relationship issues this weekend.
Venus square Uranus could be unpredictable in money and relationship dynamics. This can be positive or negative, depending. Sudden attractions, turn ons/offs, excitement or impulsiveness in money or love. Breaking free, trying something new, unusual tastes and preferences, changing of desires, attractions, experimentational, etc. Social intensity, with friends or within groups, community, and politics, involving money. or other unexpected disruptions. A break in routine. Unusual display of feelings is possible, or unconventional behavior. If relationships can get past this point and not end, then relationship and money dynamics greatly change into next week; changes, one way or the other. The best way is to remain mature, serious and committed, but open to trying new things within money and relationship situations, somehow doing it differently and more successfully than before.
Sunday the moon enters Scorpio with the mood and circumstances getting deep and intense, both with love and money. Some conflict between the spoken words vs telepathic or unspoken words as we start the new week. This will challenge Venus in Aquarius (some relationships) with intimacy and transformation vs casual and detached; communicative vs silent, etc. Relationships are headed for seriousness, intensity and commitment. The mood and desires are deep and strong but it's tension filled. Patience and delayed gratification is possibly needed, looking into the future, factoring in current responsibilities and commitments before new commitments can take place. It does seem in general people are headed for new commitments by the end of the month into the spring. This can be in any context.
Sun sextile Neptune
The good news (i guess) is that the sun has easy aspect to Neptune in Pisces next several days, showing outlet to escapism, retreat, dreams, fantasies, and could perhaps soften the Capricorn sun and focus a bit during these other transits, creating more empathy and sensitivity.
However, there's still likely to be moments of intensity with hardcore reality. It could also playout through political or social financial scandals. Intense gov't events.
As we get to the end of the month, Uranus will be direct and there will be no retrogrades, all energies direct! Battle plans are being drawn up now, new campaigns start late winter, in many different contexts. Massive pushes into new territory of our lives. 2023 has life transformation at an extremely critical point with a sense of urgency and extremes! There will be plenty of time for major action. For now, take your time, do it right, go slow, be cautious, take care of business, get prepared. Power and control issues will dominate the rest of January. Stay in your power, but allow other people to stay in their power as well. The sun shines a light on transformation, death, rebirth, power, control, shadow, taboo, intensity, and the depths of what is normally hidden. Seek balance.
