Taurus New Moon May 17 2015

As we enter a new lunar cycle that is always about new beginnings in certain areas of our life it's important to remember that this seeding of intentions to manifestation is actually a six month process from the day of each new moon until that moon is full in the same sign. The full moon two weeks after each new moon is in a different sign related to the new moon six months back. That means we have six new moon's before the first set of intentions is even truly materializing. It can get complicated to keep track easily forgetting what you intended, consciously or otherwise unless you use a new moon journal, which i highly recommend. New moon energy is building and creating for everyone even if they know nothing of astrology. The things you are focused on for the few days around each new moon is related to what you experience in your life around six months later. It's crazy that some people fill themselves with such negative thoughts and feelings those days without knowing the power of that energy at such a critical time in the lunar cycle. Those of us conscious of this creating cycle of nature have tremendous opportunity to manifest what we need and want as long as we do it within the flow of nature and don't try to defy our overall life path. Nature has a process of creation so staying in her flow will really help with giving your intentions more power to materialize. Now with that said, let's talk about this new moon at 26-27 deg Taurus at 9:13 PM PDT on MAY 17

Taurus has a lot to do with values and resources, everything about the physical plane of being human. In this day and age we can call it money and what we need to keep things going! I see this particular new moon/new beginning a little different from the other Taurus new moon's as there is a lot of retrograde planets right now including Mercury almost at dead stop from the earth's perspective preparing to move backwards over the next three weeks in the sign of Gemini. The sun moves into Gemini a couple days after the new moon causing a lineup of planets opposing retrograde Saturn which means this materialistic moon cycle is about taking care of financial matters from the past and anything else hanging over your head keeping you from moving forward in life on the material level but also on an emotional level when it comes to relationships. The power of this energy is best used for sitting intentions on clearing up past responsibilities and even ending past commitments and responsibilities that are outdated so to free you up for the new. Remember, you're only planting the seeds for this now so will take the rest of the year to fully complete the process properly if you want to stay in the flow of nature. The next full moon in Taurus is on Oct 27 2015. Sure if you think you're a bad-ass manifestor that can create whatever you want regardless of time, then don't let me stop you from trying but Taurus is more about a slow steady pace with stamina for the long haul. Also as each planet opposes Saturn there will be a delay or obstacle, some kind of challenge from others, or even mental setback to get past over the next couple weeks. When you face these challenges from others or situations remember that pushing too hard will just make it worse. Slow down, ride out any delays with grace and if you start to think on the negative side of things just know it's because of this energy and will pass shortly, not letting it discourage you from follow through; stay the course but slow down and try not to let your energy become scattered. With Mars in Gemini it's easy to take action on multiple fronts getting nothing done. Also with Mars in Gemini which only happens six weeks out of every two years we see much more aggressive communication, so watch out for war of words if you face opposition from others.

As Mercury changes direction the days around the 18th of May things can get a little screwy especially in the sign of Gemini. Don't buy into all the hype about Mercury retro, the probs mainly show up the days it's changing direction, not entire phase plus it just causes the mind to think deep and maybe want to redo some things or take care of business from the past so it's easy for surface mishaps that's all, because you're not paying attention. People in awareness have no issues with Mercury retro. If you were born with Mercury retro then this phase will be great for you and help you get a lot of stuff taken care of that's been on your to-do-list. It's great for everyone to rethink some things especially everything that's been on your mind and what you've been talking about the last week or so will need to be re -thought out and won't fully move forward until late June. It's best not to made decisions until this phase is over, if you don't have to. Read all fine print and take extra time when signing contracts for the next month. This new moon is more about the past so starting new projects now might not be the best idea until late June. However if you have Mercury retro in birth chart then this might be great time for the new as long as the past is dealt with too.

Venus square the Nodes of the moon which means relationships are at a karmic critical point and something is about to change for the long term with one or more people in your life. Venus is way ahead in the sign of sensitive Cancer where she is creating desires for emotional bonding and nurturing in relationships but that's not the energy of life right now and so it makes for feelings of vulnerability, sensitivity and wanting to retreat from love and communication in order to feel safe and secure unless you can manage to keep the feminine feeling safe by being sensitive in the right moments but not pushing her/you too much or too fast. But relationships are wanting both emotional and material attention so if you can't offer both to the relationship then the feminine in her or you will most likely retreat causing relationship tension this next few weeks. There could be communication problems within relationship as well, as the energy with others turns inward and private.  It becomes difficult to know the true desires of the other person and even yourself, the energy is just too sensitive right now in those regards. Your partner might expect you to just know how they are feelings and what they are needing without having to say it, which creates problems.  In order for some important relationships to move forward something needs to be dealt with from the past perhaps and a decision made about the future but i will warn you now that relationships are heading into some turbulent waters over the next two weeks especially around May 21 - May 26. Expect surprises and changes for good or bad within relationship and money. This will help you understand what you value the most but could be a lot of intensity coming up.

So there you go, my prospective on this moon. Look at your chart and find the cusp of Taurus and Gemini, this is the area of your life that has potential for a fresh start. Then you will be right in the flow of nature.
